Traditional, double-ended open whaleboat. Beautiful shear lines, a lovely family picnic boat. Equipped with an everlasting Westerbeak 4-cylinder diesel engine that is in as-new condition after full rebuild. This former USN ship’s officers boat was overhauled and reconfigured to present owner’s specifications, with the very finest mechanical and electrical equipment. It is now used as an afternoon cruiser and inshore fishing boat along the South Florida waterways. Attractive black and buff color scheme is reminiscent of yesterday’s small craft. It is 26’ feet in length, with three connecting compartments. Ideal for loading the clan aboard. Put the children forward, well protected by the raised bow--such boats were used by men-of-war as their lifeboats. They are considered unsinkable due to the extensive glass enclosed foam.

We are able to obtain such boats as they become available through our contacts with the government disposal agencies. These boats in the "original" condition require considerable repair and overhaul work to make them suitable for dependable civilian use. They do however, lend themselves to "Project Boat" status and because of their robust construction, are excellent candidates for custom refits such as the boat described above. We are able to accept commissions to accomplish such work on a limited, custom basis.
